Chamonix – Mont Blanc. That’s what comes to mind right away—and it’s hardly surprising, since the highest peak in the Alps catches the eye from every spot in the valley. But Chamonix is so much more than just Mont Blanc.

It’s a bustling mountain town that serves as a base for excursions, yet is charming and picturesque in its own right. Alpine houses, cafés with views of the peaks, mountain shops, and the atmosphere of a place where the mountains are simply part of everyday life.

In summer, the valley is a hiker’s paradise, and in winter it transforms into one of the world’s most famous ski destinations.

Of course, Mont Blanc is breathtaking, but the true strength of Chamonix lies in the entire valley, which lives and breathes the mountains every day. And for those who like to feel “a bit luxurious,” right next door is Megève, where Emily from Paris learned to ski 🙂
